RealOne Player is a free
software download that is used to view and listen
to media that is streamed over the internet from RealServers.
RealOne Player can either open up as a separate window
on your desktop or it can be embedded in a web page
so that is plays back within your browser window.
If you know that you already have RealOne
Player installed on your computer, please check these
common problems. If you are
behind a security firewall and the audio/video does
not play, you will need to ask your network administrator
to open Port 554 to play the streaming media.
RealOne Player is the most recent RealPlayer
available. Please check system requirements to ensure
that your computer is capable of running RealOne Player;
if your computer does not meet these requirements,
please download and install RealPlayer
8, an older version of the player.
You only need the free, basic
version of RealOne Player or RealPlayer 8
to view these webcasts and archives. You do
not need to download the Plus version (which
contains extra features but is not free), or to subscribe
to a service.

Your download will begin shortly. Do not close this
window until your download begins. All versions use
the same file to install the player. The file is named
"RealOnePlayer.exe". There is no Macintosh
version at this time.
Normally, when you download RealOne
Player, the software will begin to install automatically.
However, if it does not, search for the install file
on your computer.
RealOne functions best when browser

Windows XP
If you are trying to download RealOne
Player to a Windows XP computer, the computer may
show a blue screen and stop responding. Normally,
to resolve this you have to restart the computer.
If this has happened to you when you try to download:
- Click the Windows Start button, select
Settings> Control Panel > Display.
- Select the Screen Saver tab, set Screen
Saver to None.
- On the Screen Saver tab, click the Power
button.
- On the Power Schemes tab, make sure System
Standby is set to Never.
Microsoft has documented a video driver
incompatibility issue that can cause a blue screen
when the Operating System becomes idle; for example,
during a long download using a modem. Additional solutions
are contained in the Microsoft documentation for this
issue at: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q293078.
