These resources are intended for use in implementing school-based oral health screenings to identify emergent needs in preschool and school-age children in Montana. These materials provide information on oral health from infancy through adolescence. Contents include lesson plans and related products such as coloring pages, games, puzzles, puppets, stickers, videos, and worksheets. The lesson plans draw from multiple learning modes (visual, kinesthetic, auditory, musical), incorporate information on related topics such as nutrition and injury prevention, and are available in English and Spanish. The materials are part of a program that is designed to meet the American Academy of General Dentistry's Oral Health Literacy Guidelines and has been adopted by the National Children's Oral Health Foundation.

This curriculum is designed to teach students in kindergarten through eighth grades about the benefits of good oral health practices and the role of the dentist (and dental staff) in protecting their overall health and well-being. This resource is designed to help teachers address oral health within a multidisciplinary health science curriculum for students in kindergarten through 12th grades. The curriculum was developed by university faculty and staff and K–12 teachers as part of an initiative that also includes teacher professional development programs and student activities and simulations.
