This report describes a collaborative model for dental sealant clinics for school-age children from families with low incomes; the program was implemented as a Rotary Club community project in Contra Costa County, California. The report addresses a range of issues: involving state and local health departments and schools; recruiting volunteer dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and clerical staff; equipping the dental sealant program with donated materials; setting up and operating the clinic; making the process a fun event; and arranging publicity and educating the public about the benefits of sealants.
