This resource provides an overview of Tennessee's early childhood caries (ECC) prevention program for public health nurses. The program targets regular Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment visits with children at risk for ECC and is available to children and adolescents in all rural regions of Tennessee. The visits provide an opportunity for children to receive screenings, the application of fluoride varnish, and early dental referrals.
