This curriculum is designed to help lay health workers and health professionals promote oral health for pregnant women and families with young children. The curriculum is divided into the following sections: adult/caregiver, infancy, toddler, early childhood, school age, and adolescence. Topics include fluoride in water, oral hygiene, nutrition, dental sealants, oral injury, mouthguards, tobacco, oral cancer, oral piercings, "lift-the-lip" protocols for young children, dental home, and tooth decay. Also included are instructions for obtaining a fluoride analysis of a water sample. Supplemental materials include handouts for caregivers (in English and Spanish), booklets for children, assessment tools, and flip cards. An introductory video is also available. This guide for families provides information on establishing good oral health habits at an early age and maintaining them throughout life. Topics include primary teeth and tooth decay, checking for white spots, infection, oral hygiene during pregnancy and infancy, toothbrushing and toothbrush care, bottles and cups, snacking, medicine, and the first dental visit. The guide is available in English, Arabic, Chinese (traditional), Haitian Creole, Khmer, Portuguese, Portuguese Cape Verde, Russian, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese.

This series of 13 cards provide oral health messages for health professionals and community programs to share with clients, families, patients, and students. Each card addresses a specific population (pregnant women, infants, children, adolescents, children with special health care needs, adults, and older adults) and is accompanied by a brochure listing messages and resources. Selected topics include tooth decay, nausea during pregnancy, and breastfeeding. Information on how to use the cards and brochures is also included.
