    This report describes the methodology and results of a survey of 18 dental clinics in Public Health Service Region VI. The survey assessed the degree of compliance with infection control standards and provided information to improve practices in migrant and community health center dental programs. Appendices contain the dental infection control pre-site (visit) questionnaire, the dental infection control assessment tool, data results, a copy of a journal article about infection control in dental radiology, consultant vitas, and contact information for advisory committee members.

      This report evaluates the design, implementation, and results of three small preventive health education demonstration grants awarded to community health centers. The study reviewed the Pike Market Medical Clinic Nutrition Intervention Program in Seattle, Washington; the Adolescent Periodontal Disease Prevention Program, a Colorado migrant health program; and "Great to Wait," the adolescent pregnancy prevention program operated by Health Care Partners of South Carolina. The latter program was based on the adolescent abstinence training program "Postponing Sexual Involvement," developed by Dr. Marion Howard at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, with additional information from "True Love Waits." The "Great to Wait" program targeted adolescents ages 11–14 in rural communities with a large African-American population. The report includes information on the design of each program, its organization and implementation, the outcomes, and the evaluation process. The report also includes examples of the training materials and evaluation instruments.

        This document presents testimony from the first Congressional hearing on children's oral health held on June 25, 2002, in Washington, DC.
