Ohio Department of Health, Bureau of Oral Health Services. 2008. Guidelines for Oral Health Screening in Ohio's Schools. Columbus, OH: Ohio Department of Health, Bureau of Oral Health Services.

These training materials were developed to help school nurses learn how to conduct school-based oral health screening. The DVD and guidelines provide practical guidance on conducting screenings in the school-based setting in a way that is effective and efficient. The pocket guide can be used as a reference while the screening is conducted. The pocket guide is divided into sections based on treatment need, with a section on other oral health findings that may be observed during screening.

The materials are available online (see below) or on loan from the National Maternal and Child Oral Health Resource Center.
