Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) Maps
This site provides data for states and selected metropolitan/micropolitan
statistical areas. BRFSS Maps show three of the eight indicators included
in the National
Oral Health Surveillance System: annual dental visits, annual tooth
cleaning, and tooth loss in adults.
Child
Trends DataBank
This site provides
information on how unmet oral health needs affect child and adolescent well-being;
trends
in unmet oral health needs among children and adolescents ages 2–17;
and differences in unmet oral health needs among children and adolescents
by race and ethnicity, health insurance coverage, poverty status, and age.
International estimates, national goals, definitions, and data sources are
also provided.
Health Indicators Warehouse
This site is the data hub for the HHS Community Health Data Initiative. Content and functionalities include the ability to map, graph, and trend indicators; links from indicators to evidence-based interventions; web services and peer-to-peer business application capability; and supporting descriptive indicator definitions, methods, data sources, and other descriptive data needed to facilitate appropriate use of indicators.
CPONDER: CDC's PRAMS Online Data for Epidemiologic Research
This site provides access to data collected through Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS). PRAMS collects state-specific, population-based data on maternal attitudes and experiences before, during, and shortly after pregnancy.

Center (DRC) for Child and Adolescent Health
This site provides standardized indicators
from the National
Survey of Children's Health and the National Survey of Children
with Special Health Care Needs. These indicators can be searched
by age, race and ethnicity, income, and health status of children
and adolescents
by state.
Dental,
Oral and Craniofacial Data Resource Center
This site provides
the Catalog
of Surveys and Archive of Procedures Related to Oral Health,
an annual report summarizing the oral health of the U.S.
population, a data-query system to use in generating statistical
analyses of selected oral health data, copies of public use
research materials, and oral health questions used in national
surveys.
Discretionary Grants Information System
This site captures financial data, performance measures, program data, and abstracts from the more than 900 maternal and child health grants funded annually by the Health Resources and Services Administration.
Healthy People
Comprises a consortium of agencies and organizations committed to achieving the goals and objectives of Healthy People, a national framework for public health prevention priorities and actions. The Oral Health page lists 2020 oral health objectives and interventions and resources. Baseline data, target and target-setting methods, data sources, and links to community health data and an automated PubMed search for literature are provided for each objective.

This site provides information on the nature of any oral health care visit, use, event; type of provider, treatments and services performed, and prescribed medicines. Data tables, analytic tools, podcasts, and publications are also available.

Water's Fluoride
This site provides information about local water systems, including the target
fluoridation rate and the number of people served.
National Guideline Clearinghouse
A public resource for evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, providing expert commentaries, guideline syntheses and resources, annotated bibliographies, and comparative analyses. Identify guidelines by clicking on Advanced Search. In the Keyword field, enter “oral health” OR “dental health services”. Scroll to Age of Target Population and make a selection (e.g., Adolescent). Hold the control key or Apple command key down, and click to make multiple selections. Click on Show results to get your results. To identify oral-health-related guidelines about pregnant women, select Advanced Search. Type ("oral health" OR "dental health services") AND pregnancy in the Keyword field. Oral Health Surveillance System (NOHSS)
This site provides oral health indicators
by state, including dental visits, teeth cleaning, complete
tooth loss, fluoridation status, caries experience, untreated caries, dental
sealants, and cancer of the oral cavity and pharynx.
Oral
Health Maps
This site provides national and state maps that show indicators for water
fluoridation, dental sealants, untreated tooth decay, and caries experience.
Synopses of State and Territorial Dental Public Health Programs
The site provides state- and territory-specific information including
(1) support for an oral health program; (2) percentage of people
on public water systems receiving fluoridated water; (3) support
for a dental director; and (4) trends in demographics, infrastructure,
work force, administration, budget, and programs.
Title
V Information System (Title V IS)
This site is the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) portal for the submission of state Title V Maternal and Child Health Block Grant applications and annual reports and five-year needs assessments. Electronically captures data submitted by states, serves as a searchable database on key financial, program and performance-indicator data and provides state-by-state, regional and national composite data.
Water
Fluoridation Reporting System (WFRS)
This site is a monitoring tool for state and tribal water fluoridation program
managers and oral health program directors or managers. Accessing this system
requires special authorization. The Water Fluoridation Reporting System is
the data source for the annual fluoridation information in NOHSS.
