Association Between Parents' and Children's Use of Oral Health Services

This study investigated associations between parents' and children's use of oral health services among a representative sample of children. The authors found that parents who did not obtain oral health care for themselves were less likely to bring their children in for oral health care. They also found that, when parents defer seeking care because of cost, their children are at increased risk for deferred care as well, regardless of insurance status.
